Happy New Year 2014

Happy New Year 2014, hope it's a good one for you.  Here's a new photo...

It was a rather cloudy morning on NewYear's Eve.  I looked out the window of the bedroom and saw these swallows on the powerlines.  I couldn't resist taking a photo, there was something that I found amusing.

When I posted the photo on Facebook, a friend said that it was an exposition on a stave - which then struck me.  It was!  I didn't realise it at the time, but what grabbed me when I saw the birds were the familiar look of the lines and the dots.

The cloudy morning made this image look kind of sombre.  So I added a texture to enhance the mood.  Are you wondering why I'm sharing this moody picture with you?  No reason.  It's just the first image I've edited and completed this year.  I might even enter it in the 2014 AIPP Awards.
