The highlight of this month is travelling to Sydney to watch the Bruce Springsteen concert.
It seems that I've waiting a whole lifetime for this, watching Bruce in concert. Bruce wasn't able to include Perth in his concert itenarary. So we flew to Sydney to catch him at the Allphone Arena in Homebush on the 21st of March.
So how's this? The plane had just taken off. I decided that to get me in the mood I'd listen to some Springsteen on my iPad. What I was to discover next nearly gave me a heart-attack!
I LEFT THE CONCERT TICKETS AT HOME!
Can you believe it?
I felt sick. Very sick. I was sweating profusely. A fella across the aisle had just thrown up in a paperbag (maybe he'd forgotten his tickets too). I felt like doing the same!
So here were my options: miss the concert (no!), buy some tickets as soon as I got to Sydney, or fly home to Perth pick up the tickets and fly back to Sydney (there was just enough time if I could catch the next flight home).
Afer what seemed like an eternity, we landed in Sydney.
My dear brother, always the level-headed one, said that we should ring the ticket office in the morning to see if we could get replacement tickets. Fortunately, indeed we could. Phew! PHEW!
What a concert! Over 3 hours, non-stop!
My life is now fulfilled! I have seen Bruce Springsteen in concert.
