Kerrianne Cox, Kimberley singer and community leader

12 February, 2011

I was privileged to have met Kerrianne Cox at James Price Point last October, on our photography pilgrimage to the site that the WA government wants Woodside Petroleum to build the biggest gas plant in the world.

Here she is talking with David Bettini and me.  Her warmth when she greeted us, "Welcome to Country", really touched me.

Kerrianne is a prominent singer who lives in Broome and is one of many defending their country from the greed of mining companies.

Here she is performing with kids in a recent concert in Broome.

Watch this video on Youtube for a taste of what a magnificent singer she is.  Keep up the good work, Kerrianne!
